This is one of my favorite salads! I eat it year round. You really can add any kind of meat--bacon, or turkey bacon is a great addition. Smoky meats such as ham, bacon, or smoked turkey taste best. My best friend helped me name it.
Salad with Butternut, Walnuts, and Optional Pork Sprinkles
(Serves 1)
-2 green containers of sliced romaine other salad greens (2cups)
-1 green container of Roasted Butternut Squash (1 cup)
-4 slices of deli ham, diced or 4 slices of cooked turkey bacon, crumbled=1 red
-1 T red onion, teeny dice
-1 orange container of walnut pieces, or other nuts (2 T)
-1 orange container of healthy salad dressing, (2 T)
I use my favorite Miso Balsamic Salad Dressing on this salad.
Per Serving: 3 green, 1 red, 1 orange, 1/2 blue (for the orange container of nuts)
